The Law Of Karma

We learnt about fate, destiny, free will, soul contracts and now we are diving deep into the Law of Karma. If you haven’t read my other two articles, you can do so here beginning from the first. True definition of karma varies upon people and their understanding of it. Some adhere to the traditional meaning deriving from the ancient religions, while others interpret it more from a modern view of good vs the bad. Because of their two conflicting views, this can be misleading on how karma applies to one’s life. What karma is and how the Law of Karma governs our soul contracts, fate, and destiny: why our soul gives us a chance to heal this aspect using “free will,” we will learn in-depth through this article.

Firstly, I want to add that karma is not deeds you reap as a punishment. Remember on a soul level, these are all lessons attained for our soul expansion and growth, which we perfectly scripted to play out so that we get specific experiences in a human form. You must have come across Wayne Dyer’s famous quote, “You must become the producer, director and actor in the unfolding story of your life.” After all, as a spiritual being, you are living a human experience.

What is Karma?

Karma is borrowed from Sanskrit word Karam. Karma is a concept of Hinduisms, which explains through a system where beneficial effects are derived from past beneficial actions and harmful effects from past harmful actions, creating a system of actions and reactions throughout a soul’s reincarnated lives forming a cycle of rebirth.

Karma literally means action, and more broadly names the Universal Principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, which Hindus believe governs all consciousness. Karma is not fate, for we act with what can be described as a conditioned “free will” creating out our own destinies. Karma refers to the totality of our actions and their concomitant reactions in this and previous lives, all of which determines our future. The conquest of karma lies in intelligent action and dispassionate reaction. Not all karmas rebound immediately. Some accumulate and return unexpectedly in this or other lifetimes. ~ Wikipedia

Saint Tulsidas, an author of Sacred Hindu Scripture Ramayana once said, “Our destiny was shaped long before the body came into a being. As long as the stock of sanchita karma lasts, a part of it continues to be taken out as prarabdha karma for being enjoyed in one lifetime, leading to the cycle of birth and death.”

Karma and How it Affects Us

The Law of Karma simply says that our thoughts, words, and deeds create a chain of negative and positive cause and effect. Karma is also our greatest teacher, allowing us to learn from our mistakes. Because the Law of Karma gives back to us whatever we have sent out as thoughts, word or deed, when negative karma returns, we tend to blame it as a form of punishment. In our spiritual journey, it teaches us soul lessons, love and forgiveness even if at times it comes as tough love. There is no greater love than having the opportunity to understand the consequences of our action, or our inaction so that our soul can grow. It gives us the opportunity to change our future, which creates abundant hope for all our tomorrows. Through reincarnation, it gives us the opportunity to make things right, to pay off our karmic debts and cycles, a rebirth of the new while purging the old, to reap the rewards of our fruits rendered…

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate ~ Carl Jung.

Cycles of Life

Cycles of Life

There is a good reason why we don’t usually remember our past. Metaphorically speaking, we are born with soul amnesia from the moment we enter the birth canal. This veil of amnesia is an act of mercy from our soul. We have a script to live in this lifetime so we cannot focus on more than one life at a time to make something out of it. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “It is nature’s kindness that we do not remember past births. Life would be a burden if we carried such a tremendous load of memories.”

Our past-life memories are not something to be taken lightly. Another aspect is that your soul will not show or bring anything to your attention prematurely for you to heal and clear. There is a higher reason for this and that is so that you are able to handle this maturely when your soul feels is the time to heal it.

Now and then, your soul may choose to show you frames of your past life episodes, to provide certain clues and to waken you up to investigate further. When it is time to take a peek through your past life, your soul will lead you to the right avenues by aligning you with healers who can assist you. When you become aware of a past life, the karma of that embodiment comes to the fore. You can no longer ignore it.

Once you begin to recollect some of your past life events, you may even become burdened by its memories; this is the work of your higher self who is giving you clues to investigate further. It expedites the process of your awareness to recollect some of the prior commitments you made before taking an embodiment. It could very well indicate that you are finally ready to learn the underlying lessons from those negative episodes of the past to apply forgiveness and compassion to move forward in your soul’s journey.

According to Elizabeth Clair Prophet, you need to balance 51% of your karma to ascend. “It’s not essential to know all about our past lives in order to deal with our karma and make spiritual progress, and we shouldn’t force it. If God wants us to know, he will show us one way or another.” ~ Elizabeth Clair Prophet.

When you are spiritually ready to unveil your past lives, your Higher Self lifts the veil so that on a soul level, you can learn from that memory, face your wounding and incorporate its teachings into your current life.

Past life

Past life

Past life work became popular in the early 20th century with Clairvoyants such as Edgar Cayce, known as the Sleeping Prophet, Swiss psychologists Carl Jung, Shanti Devi from Delhi who began to see and feel their own lapse of past life experiences. Through their work and experiences, it became a proven fact that our past life bleeds into this life for us to clear our karma and karmic cycles. It was discovered that in many cases, karmic patterns were woven through lifetimes, which resulted in emotional or physical afflictions.

No matter which religion you were born in. It is safe to say that all religions believed in previous incarnations. Often questions such as where we have lived before; what do we have to know about our past lives to resolve the karma; why we do not remember who we were in previous lives come to surface. There is a Greek mythology regarding souls who have just passed on and are ready to reincarnate. According to the Greek legend, once they drank from the River Lethe, its waters made the soul forget their previous lives.

Past life events bleeds into our current reality in all matters of our life. Our job is to use our “free will” to follow the inner direction that will lead us to the highest choice, to heal and grow on a soul level. Whatever dramas of the past we carry forward, we are the final arbiters of our own destiny.

Sceneries will replay into your current life through formed habits or defense mechanisms, phobias or addictions. It takes healing and reprogramming to know how to incorporate tools to re-create new patterns.

Depending on your karmic history, you cannot play victim consciousness. Depending on your karmic patterns, karma takes time to cycle into the physical reality. No matter what you have been through, it passes through the etheric, mental and emotional planes of being in. It doesn’t matter how much mud splattered onto your soul, you are capable of your soul’s journey by your birthright, to be the pilot in the hot seat, navigating with the help of your Higher Self.

Your Higher Self is your greatest teacher and ally, your dearest friend and guide leading you the way.

Grace

Grace merely provides us the opportunity to have extension to become stronger through our coping mechanisms when karma shows up on our doorstep. Grace does not mean that your past transgressions are erased completely but is merely an allowed time for the soul to learn systematically.

Birth Charts

Another tool that can be used to work with karma is astrology. Astrology is a map of karma. Your birth chart tells you positive karma example your talents, attainments and blessings, whereas your negative karma example challenges and obstacles indicates what you brought from your past lives.

Good Deeds

Good deeds represents our positive actions through influencing lives we touch. Our everyday actions or non-actions, including how we express ourselves through our profession are a tremendous factor in balancing our karma. No matter what our calling is or what profession we are in, through our work, we carve our spiritual path. Through the work of our deeds, you serve society and enhance the quality of life of those who you influence.

Balancing Karma

Balancing Karma

Balancing karma through the heart means opening the heart and giving wisely. It means not being afraid to pour out more love, even when that love may be rejected. In fact, when we have fully integrated with the Law of Karma as the Law of Love, we find that we are no longer carry the karmic burden of our past.

When we apply forgiveness to all people involved, including self, we balance our karmic debts and create good karma. Just like Feng Shui teaches us that clutter in the physical creates negative chi or negative flow of energy in our surroundings, clinging on to karmic clutter can also create blockages in the flow of positive energy wreaking havoc in all matters of our lives, be it finances, health, our relationships and so forth.

These blockages of accumulated unresolved karma affects our physical and emotional well-being; our spiritual progress through all kinds of events and people that move in and out of our life.

Karmic Healing

Another karmic trap is the temptation to avoid our karma. In order to heal it permanently, we must face our inner dragons and demons and meet them in the eye. Lifetime after lifetime we faced certain challenges, but because we didn’t realize it at that time being the opportunity in disguise to heal, we brought them here in this lifetime to heal it once and for all. If you avoid it in this lifetime, be assured it will be waiting for you in the following life thereafter to face.

The more we acted with anger and severity when creating karma, the more entangled we became. When we begin to see things from the perspective of karma, we realize that unless we embrace the karmic tests staring us in the face, we will have to keep reincarnating with the same individuals or in the same kinds of circumstances until we determine to pass those tests.

Turning our back on karma only postpones the day when we must stand, face and conquer.

Our psychology and karma are intricately intertwined no matter how we may try to deal with the issues. If we do not resolve our wounding that resulted in our karma, the same emotional triggers will cause us to act and react in the same old ways by re-creating or even compounding our karmic load.

Violate Flame

Violate Flame

One of the best ways to heal karma is through violate flame transmution. To transmute energy is to change something into a higher form. Centuries ago, alchemists used to attempt on a physical level to transmute base metals into gold using this term. On a spiritual level, this as to achieve self-transformation and ultimately eternal life.

Spiritually, that is precisely what the violet flame can do with its high level frequency. The spiritual energy separates the gross elements of our karma from the gold of our true self and transforms it so we can achieve our highest potential. Healers, alchemists and adepts have used the high-frequency energy of the violet flame to bring about energetic balance and spiritual transformation.

The use of the violate flame in the alchemy process is to heal and clear the subconscious wounds, patterns and beliefs is a powerful adaptation process. The violet flame can also help resolve these patterns of consciousness and free us to be more of our real authentic self by shaving off karma and karmic patterns into Source Light.

Karmic Board

Karmic Board

In some spiritual traditions, this is known as the Karmic Board. Also known as, “The Lords of Karma” is a body of eight ascended masters who are assigned with the responsibility to dispense justice and to adjudicate karma, mercy and judgment on behalf of each soul. All souls must pass before the Karmic Board before and after each incarnation on earth. In other words, after each embodiment, our soul meets with the Karmic Board to review our progress in that life. In addition, before we take incarnation again, we must pass before this board to receive our assignment and karmic allotment.

During this meeting, we are shown what family we will be born into and why; where we had difficulties in the past; who we have to settle accounts with and how we can take advantage of new opportunities to make spiritual progress. In essence, we review the plan for our upcoming life on Earth.

Karmic Scripts

The karmic script often heralds for renewed involvement with same people from previous incarnations whom you had pleasant or unpleasant karma with. In other words, those people you didn’t treat too well in my your life incarnated once again so that you have a second chance to pay off that debt. This could also be reversed where someone that had a karmic debt with you in previous lifetime have incarnated once again to repay his or her karmic debt. The whole idea of this process is to apply forgiveness as soul lessons are learnt and incorporated.

Karmic Cycle

Karmic cycles are the works of karma and applies in the lives of people through different situations and life events that we undergo in order to learn soul lessons. Karmic cycles are based upon our past life experiences and the life lessons we failed to obtain in that lifetime and are here once again to make it right.

Karma

Karma is a result of a person’s actions as well as the actions of themselves based from the term, “The cycle of cause and effect.” According to karma, what happens to a person happens because they caused it from their actions. Whatever you are or are not, you earned it; the good, the bad and then some. This is the nature of karma, to give us the opportunity to make things right once again.

Whatever you are or are not, you can change it through “free will.” This too is also the nature of karma. This is because karma is not fated. Karma can help us understand how we got where we are, for example the circumstances of our life, the events that take shape around us, the people we seem to magnetize around us.

It is up to us to heal our karma so that we shape our destiny. We exercised “free will” to create karma. We can exercise “free will” to transform it. Nothing is final until we make it final and nothing is predestined until we make it our destiny.
