How Moon Plays a Pivotal Part In Ascension Process

Why is the Moon Significant?

“The brightest and largest object in our night sky, the Moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet’s wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate. It also causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years.” ~ Nasa

Legends and folktale have been around since the beginning of time. One of the most common folklore is about the Magnificent Moon. Many cultures and religions consider Moon auspicious in their day to day living. Below are some Moon Mythology from various cultures.

Greek Mythology

Selene was a Titan Goddess in Greek mythology, daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. She had two siblings, Helios and Eos. She was the Goddess of the Moon, which she drove every night across the skies.

Hinduism

Chandra is described as young and beautiful, four-armed man, carrying a lotus, discus and shell. In Hindu mythology, Chandra is the father of Buddha, Planet Mercury.

Lord Shiva

Lord Shiva has a crescent Moon on the side of His head as an ornament. The crescent Moon indicates that He has controlled the mind perfectly. The waxing and waning phenomenon of the Moon symbolizes the time cycle through which creation evolves from the beginning to the end. Since the Lord is the Eternal Reality, He is beyond time and has complete control over it.

Moon Rabbit

The Moon Rabbit is a mythical figure who lives on the Moon in Far Eastern folklore, based on pareidolia interpretations that identify the dark markings on the near side of the Moon as a rabbit or hare. The folklore originated in China and then spread to other Asian Cultures.

Goddess Cerridwen

Goddess Cerridwen is a Welsh Celtic Goddess. She is the giver of wisdom and inspiration, and as such is often associated with the Moon and the intuitive process. As a Goddess of the Underworld, Cerridwen is often symbolized by a white sow, which represents both her fecundity and fertility and her strength as a mother.

Natives

Natives believed that the Moon is their protector and guardian of the earth, believing that its spirit watched over them. The early Natives did not record time by using the months of the Julian or Gregorian calendar. Many tribes kept track of time by observing the seasons and Lunar months. Some tribes had 4 seasons while others counted 5 seasons to a year. Some tribes defined a year as 12 Moons, while others assigned it as 13. Certain tribes that used the Lunar calendar added an extra Moon every few years, to keep it in sync with the seasons.

Lună

Gypsies believed Lună as a strong powerful entity. It is not a surprise when NASA gave Moon the name Luna that is derived from this ancient culture. Gypsies believed in Lună’s powers and were used in any incantation, curse or charms. She was called to look upon a specific person for the charms to work. In their culture Lună was called upon to aid in good and bad rituals.

Khonsu

Ancient Egyptians named him as being a traveler, based on the perceived nightly travel of the Moon across the sky. Along with Thoth he marked the passage of time. As a Moon God, Khonsu has the embodiment of the crescent Moon’s light. During the new Moon, he was considered a mighty falcon, but during the Full Moon, he was considered a neutral falcon. Khonsu was supposedly powerful against the evil spirits in the world.

Ixchel

Ixchel, pronounced Ishchel was the Maya goddess of the Moon. She represented love, growth, textile arts and medicine. She was the wife of the sun god Ak Kin, and was often represented accompanied by a rabbit. In hieroglyphics her name appears as Chak Chel, meaning “large rainbow.”

Today, many associate new Moon as the ideal time to set themselves goals and intentions. As the New Moon heralds the start of a New Lunar Cycle, it symbolizes new beginnings. People use the energy of a New Moon to achieve their goals, set intention or start on a new project. They also reflect on their old goals and set themselves new ones.

Full Moon

Many associate Full Moon as completion, for it heralds the heightened power, intuition, the realization of desires and its peaked clarity. During this time, it is a good idea to celebrate your spiritual growth, and to take note of what progress you have made and to reflect on how far you have come.

You can use Full Moon for releasing old traumas and energies. You can use “Ho’oponopono prayer” method for asking forgiveness.

Below are some indicators on how to apply New and Full Moon during the course of your healing.

  • Cut energetic cords (Full Moon)
  • Forgiveness (Full Moon)
  • Setting intention (New Moon)
  • Manifestation (New Moon)
  • Healing (New and Full Moon)
  • Charging your favorite crystals (Full Moon)

Setting Intentions

Write a letter one or two days before New Moon when the energy is at its peak level. Start with gratitude and end with a thank you. Add your favorite crystals as per intention. For example, if it is money related, then add all crystals to the manifestation that represents money. Use white flowers and candles to represent the color of the Moon. In Hinduism, white flowers are used for Lord Shiva. Use any colors you are drawn to as there are no rules. You can choose any meditative music for the ritual.

Burn the notes a couple of days later and scatter the ashes back to Earth.

Manifestation

  • Bowl of water. Doesn’t have to be a clear bowl
  • 3 white candles – 333 Ascended Masters
  • Flowers or flower petals. These are Pansies
  • Write what you want to manifest in small pieces of paper
  • Use your favorite crystals
  • Sage or Paolo Santo to cleanse your aura and space

Ground space and call in your guides. Hold each crystal in your hand to activate. You will feel tingling or warm sensation when doing so. Set intention for your highest and greatest goods to manifest in Divinely Order.

Cutting Cords

Full Moon

During Full Moon, write on a piece of paper each person that you need to let go from your past, for example a romantic involvement, friends etc. Write to their Higher Self, using “Ho’oponopono Prayer” method and asking them for…

  • Forgive them for all the hurt they caused you
  • Thank them for all the life lessons taught
  • Wish them all the best in the future
  • Ask for their energetic help towards your journey

Each person will have a separate paper. Place on a window seal where you think the Full Moon shines, but not necessary if unable to, as long as the intention has been set. Place Black Tourmaline or Hematite, Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz, Aventurine Crystals, or any of your favorite crystals on the stack of notes.

Burn the notes 2 days after Full Moon, total exercise consists of 2-3 days, day of Full Moon and 1-2 days after the Full Moon. These days are very potent for clearing out the old.

Bath Ritual

Water has always been associated with emotions. Moon is associated with water, so this particular ritual will be potent for clearing energy and manifestation. This particular ritual is very effective for New or Full Moon.

  • Get a single white rose.
  • White candles
  • Run a bath with Epsom salt, Himalayan Sea Salt and Sea Salt, along with bath essentials
  • Gently pluck all rose petals
  • Scatter in bath
  • Get some nice music or meditation
  • Get wine
  • Have an amazing bath for however long you prefer
  • Collect rose petals, dry them and scatter them back to Earth, anywhere you feel guided, could be front or back of house as well.

Say “your desired intention” each time you scatter a petal away.

New Moon – “Dear Moon, I welcome growth, abundance and transformations.”

Full Moon – “Dear Moon, I release ego, fear and energetic blocks.”

These are some methods. Feel free to make your own as well. There are no rules to how you manifest, clear or heal. Only advise I have is not to cut any corners. Place your time in this to reap the rewards. Happy Manifestation and Clearing. Hope this article finds you well.
